July 6th - 7th: Welcome to Zurich

After a long journey, the two most important passengers,sat patiently awaiting reassembly.  Their riders were a little numb, waiting for someone to take charge. 

Having landed at 8.00 AM, we assembled the chariots and made our way to the apartment of our WarmShowers host. As a perfect Zurich Sunday raced towards 30 degrees we joined most of the city population on the shores of Lake Zurich.  Most people seemed oblivious to the fact that Swiss Roger was toiling at Wimbledon as they chilled to the sounds of numerous bands.

   Michael quickly felt at ease at the lake.

Spent another day sight seeing.  

 We visited Zurich's famous Zeughauskeller beer hall for a traditional lunch!  I could adopt this tradition!

That night, our host, Esther, cooked a fabulous Swiss dish called Aelplermagronen (Apple Macaroni or Swiss Macaroni

Esther and Rosemary spent much time discussing food and physical therapies.
