July 20th - 21st: Geneva - a mixture of sophistication and sleaze.

The ride into Geneva, some 75 kilometres from Lausanne, was very pleasant, despite the showery conditions.

The ride followed the lake for much of the journey.

En route to Geneva, we were approached by this Swiss family in search of direction - the trusty Ipad and Swiss Mobility application soon had them on their way.

We rode the Rue de Vignoble on the way into Geneva.

The effort to beautify the streetscape with flowers is persistent and pleasing.

Another hotel room

Picnic dinner in hotel room - good food, but lacked some atmosphere.

Booking.com did not mention that the Admiral Hotel was next door to "The Player", one of two sex shops in the immediate vicinity - it made for some interesting neighbours.
