The Bodensee - Konigsee cycle route would take us east to Bad Tolz on our way to Munich.
A trail amongst the foothills of the Alps, Rosemary was wary of the climbing in this region - it was certainly undulating, annoyingly so at times, but ultimately the landscape reigned supreme.
Immenstadt offered nice sculpture, but no accommodation, thanks to a Buddhist convention and a karate competition - the tourist info office was able to offer us a "Gasthaus" some five kilometres away at Agathazell.
Zum Gruntenblick was a treasure in the backblocks of a busy tourist area. No English, no Wi-Fi, no Internet, no worries!
These four gentlemen in the front bat of Zum Gruntenblick testified as to the quality of the establishment. The room put our previous night's accommodation at Lindau to shame and the evening meal was a cracker for both of us - country hospitality was on show.
You win some ........
